Curiosity under the Sun: OLIVIO & CO opens its first Paris pop-up, May 31 to June 7
We've been waiting to say this one out loud.
From May 31 to June 7, OLIVIO & CO opens its first Paris pop-up at mmatters gallery, 2 rue de Commines, Paris 3ᵉ, in the heart of Le Marais. It is the first stop of our European chapter: an immersive celebration of eyewear, creativity and the art of living, designed as a playful world rooted in Mediterranean light, travel and childhood imagination.

Curiosity under the Sun
The pop-up is the first physical incarnation of Curiosity under the Sun, our new creative direction shaped by Artistic Director Dilara Kan Hon, who joined OLIVIO & CO in 2026 after years of collaboration through Studio Yellowdot.
It is a sun-washed visual language drawn from Mediterranean architecture, landscapes and travel memories: muted terracotta, sea, stone, olive green and faded summer light, paired with tactile materials such as wood, stone, canvas and paper mâché. The result is a more sculptural, crafted identity that extends the brand beyond eyewear, into a wider lifestyle universe.
"Children naturally see the world with curiosity, imagination and freedom. We wanted to extend that spirit into a creative universe through objects, spaces and experiences that invite families to see the world differently, together, under the sun."
Dilara Kan Hon, Artistic Director

mmatters gallery, our Paris home for a week
For seven days we settle into mmatters gallery in Le Marais. More home than retail, the space is a curated environment of natural materials, handcrafted displays and collected objects inspired by Mediterranean journeys. Slowness, play and discovery are the rule.
Studio Yellowdot, our long-term creative partner since 2018, has shaped the displays alongside Dilara: white paper mâché totems, sculptural plinths in cream and ochre, and the wavy motifs that have become a signature of the brand.

Eyewear for Families: kids, and a new chapter for adults
OLIVIO & CO was founded in Shanghai and has sold over one million pairs of eyewear, becoming a leading name in children's eyewear thanks to thoughtful design, comfort and storytelling. Paris is also the chance to introduce something new: a growing range of sport and outdoor eyewear for fashion-conscious adults, alongside our full kids' collection, sized by age, with UV 100% protection.
The frames are made to be picked up, tried on, walked outside in. The team will be there to help, every day.

The Breakfast Art Club
Throughout the week, the pop-up doubles as a creative playground for kids and families: the Breakfast Art Club, a programme of hands-on workshops built around the Mediterranean motifs Dilara has imagined for the season (sun, coral, sunglasses, hands, fish).
On June 3, our Press Day from 10:00 to 12:30, two guest creatives join us:
- Paris-based artist and designer Emile Kirsch leads a hands-on workshop.
- Object and tableware designer Edetri presents a dedicated edible installation, exploring the rituals of the table through form and material.
These collaborations mark the beginning of an ongoing dialogue with local and international creatives as the brand expands across Europe.

Why we are doing this
OLIVIO & CO is mostly met online. A pop-up is our chance to flip that: to let the frames live in your hands, to put faces on the team, and to spend a week with the families and friends who already follow us. It is not a launch. It is an invitation. The light is waiting.
